CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After a career rushing day against Princeton, Gino Gordon has been selected as the COOP Athlete of the Week for Oct. 25.
Gordon rushed for a career-high 204 yards on 20 carries (10.2 ypc) in the Crimson’s 45-28 defeat of the Tigers. Gordon wasted no time tallying the yards as his first carry of the game went for 56. Gordon evened the score, 7-7, in the first quarter on a 26-yard touchdown scamper that capped a four-play, 94-yard Crimson scoring drive. Gordon would finish the first half with 134 yards on nine carries.
Gordon also caught four balls for 30 yards in the game. His 234 all-purpose yards accounted for just over 40 percent of Harvard’s 583 total yards of offense in the game. The senior currently leads the Crimson with 711 rushing yards and is averaging an Ivy League best 7.8 yards per carry this season.
