CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Liza Ryabkina scored three goals in the first two games on the season for Harvard and has garnered COOP Athlete of the Week honors for Nov. 1.
In the season-opening rivalry game against Yale, Ryabkina scored the Crimson’s second and third goals, both knotting the score. The game-tying-goal came with 14 seconds left in the third period on a blue line to blue line pass from Leanna Coskren where Ryabkina took it to the left point and fired in the equalizer.
Midway through the second period Saturday, in Harvard's 4-2 win over Brown, Ryabkina one-timed a pass from Kaitlin Spurling to give the Crimson a 2-0 lead over the Bears. On the weekend, Ryabkina registered a +1 rating.
