CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Jake Gambitsky of the men’s lacrosse team has been named the Harvard COOP Athlete of the Week for the week of March 10.
Gambitsky tallied 30 saves last week as he guided the Crimson to a 2-0 record. The junior made 12 saves as Harvard downed Quinnipiac, 10-8. The 12 saves stood as his career high until Saturday afternoon when he registered 18 stops in the team’s 15-7 win at Georgetown, marking the most saves by a member of the Crimson since Harry Krieger ’13 made 19 saves on March 29, 2011 against UMass.
Harvard will return to action Saturday, March 15 as it hosts Brown under the lights of Soldiers Field Lacrosse Stadium at 7 p.m. Fans can watch all of the action live online through the Ivy League Digital Network.
