CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Jack Breit of the Harvard men’s lacrosse team has been named Harvard COOP Athlete of the Week for the week of May 12.
Breit had a career day to lead the defensive efforts as the Crimson fell to Notre Dame, 13-15 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The sophomore registered a career-high four caused turnovers, the most by a member of the Crimson this season. Briet also collected two ground balls. Hailing from Essex Fells, N.J., Briet registered his seventh point (4g, 3a) as a long stick midfield to finish the season ranked 11th among active long poles with 12 career points (6g, 6a).
The Crimson finishes the year with a 10-7 overall record, the most wins by the team since 2011. Harvard captured its first Ivy League title in 24 years with a 5-1 conference record.
