Nathan Fry has been on staff at Harvard since 2003, when he joined the department as Director of Compliance before his promotion to Associate Director of Athletics in 2005.
Fry serves a the primary sport administrator for men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s golf, and men’s and women’s skiing. Additionally, Fry oversees the Admissions process for athletics, the compliance department, the scheduling and travel department, student-athlete development, and campus relations.
In addition to his responsibilities with athletics, Fry lives in-residence at Harvard as a Freshman Proctor, providing academic and social guidance to Harvard freshmen. Fry is a member of the Board of Freshman Advisers at Harvard, serves as a cabinet member on the NCAA's Student-Athlete Awards, Benefits, Expenses and Financial Aid Cabinet, and works with several student life committees at Harvard, including the Calendar of Opening Days Committee, the Student Advisory Board, the College Committee on Hazing, and the Campus Community Collaborative with the Office of Alcohol and Other Drug Services.
Fry earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Southern Indiana in 1999 and completed a Master's degree in sports administration at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2001. He previously served as an Assistant Director with the Council of Ivy Group Presidents, from 2001 until his appointment at Harvard in 2003.
Fry and his wife, Michele, reside in Apley Court with their son, Parker, and 30 Harvard freshmen.
