Brett Moore joined the Harvard Office of Athletic
Communications in a full-time capacity in August 2012 and
currently serves as the primary contact for field hockey, women's
ice hockey, women's swimming and diving, men's and women's
heavyweight and lightweight crew, men's and women's squash and
men's and women's water polo. He also served as the media
coordinator for the 2013 NCAA Women's Water Polo Championships
hosted at Harvard's Blodgett Pool.
Prior to his role of Assistant Director of Athletic Communications, Moore served as an Athletic Communications Assistant at Harvard during the 2011-12 academic year. He worked with a variety of teams throughout the year, including traveling with the men's basketball team to the 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament in Albuquerque, N.M. Moore also contributed to the production of the 2012 Men's Lacrosse Championships hosted by Harvard at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.
Before joining Harvard, Moore received the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Phil Langan Graduate Internship Grant to work as an intern at Illinois Wesleyan University. During the 2010-11 school year, Moore produced media guides, wrote game notes and kept statistics at all basketball, football, soccer and baseball games for IWU. In addition to day-to-day tasks with the athletic department, Moore assisted at the 2011 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Final Four held at the Shirk Center in Bloomington, Ill.
A graduate of Illinois Wesleyan in 2010 with a B.A. in business administration, he worked in the university communications office where he prepared game programs, updated biographies and kept statistics for the athletic department as a student. Moore was also a member of the baseball team and captained the 2010 NCAA Division III national championship squad at IWU.
Moore, who resides in Brighton, Mass., completed a master’s degree in sport management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2012.
