Jeff Weinstein joined Harvard Athletics as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in August of 2016. He is responsible for covering the men's hockey, field hockey, women's lacrosse, men’s and women’s cross country, and men’s and women’s track & field programs.
Prior to joining Harvard, Weinstein worked in the athletic communications office at the University of Michigan from 2013-16, serving as primary media contact for the men's ice hockey and women's rowing teams.
He previously worked at Union College (N.Y.) for three years, where he was the primary contact for men's ice hockey while also serving as the contact for women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, and men's lacrosse. Prior to joining Union, Weinstein served on the media relations staff for the Washington Capitals. During his time with the Capitals, Weinstein earned a Masters of Professional Studies degree in sports management from Georgetown University.
In the spring of 2008, Weinstein earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Boston College. In the summer before his senior year at BC, Weinstein served as the internet/publications intern for the New York Jets. He was in charge of producing daily content for the team’s website during training camp.
