Michael Delgado will serve as an Athletic Events Intern at Harvard during the 2013-14 academic year.
Delgado comes to Cambridge from Tallahassee, Fla., where he worked as an athletics assistant for Tallahassee Community College. While assisting the athletic director in determining student-athlete academic eligibility, he also helped with basketball game-day and tournament operations where he served as official scorekeeper, and event manager. Delgado also worked a variety of regular season athletic events including baseball, basketball and softball games.
Prior to his role with Tallahassee Community College, Delgado interned with Tallahassee Sports Council. He conducted marketing research for various sponsored sporting events including a hiking and paddling trails project. For TSC sponsored events, he served as event set-up management and analzyed the economic impact of the event using IDSS.
A 2010 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Florida State University, Delgado earned a B.S in psychology and a minor in mathematics. In the fall of 2012, the Royal Palm Beach, Fla., native returned to Florida State to pursue his master’s degree in sports management, which he expects to graduate in 2014.
