Harvard baseball’s junior pitcher Eric Eadington has been named the Ivy League Pitcher of the Week in an announcement made Tuesday afternoon.
Eadington is joined on the weekly Honor Roll by junior outfielder Sam Franklin.
Harvard played a trio of games at Minnesota’s Metrodome Tournament and the Crimson came away with an impressive victory over a solid Creighton team while falling in extra innings to South Dakota State and dropping a game to the host Gophers as well.
Eadington threw seven strong innings in a win against national power Creighton on Sunday. Eadington scattered five hits while not walking a batter and striking out two. After allowing single runs in each of the first two innings, he retired 10 of the 11 batters and 15 of his last 16 while facing just one over the minimum.
In three games, Franklin boasted an on-base-percentage of .571 with a batting average of .333. He was on base a total of eight times and made opposing teams pay with five stolen bases in as many attempts.
