WAREHAM, Mass. – Harvard pitcher Max Perlman finished his last summer in the Cape Cod Baseball League in impressive fashion, taking home season-ending all-league team honors.

Perlman, who also played for the Gatemen in 2008 and was named a CCBL All-Star alternate, was sidelined for much of 2009 with an arm injury.

After working his way back slowly from his injuries in the spring of 2010 with Harvard, Perlman was back to form during the summer months. The Longwood, Fla. native was Wareham’s top starter, earning a spot in the mid-season Cape Cod League All-Star game where he pitched a scoreless inning at Fenway Park. He finished the summer with a 3-2 record while posting a 1.92 earned run average to finish 10th in the league overall. He also finished fifth league-wide with 42 strikeouts in 51.2 innings of work. He walked just six batters and scattered 37 hits for a .204 opponent batting average against.
