Harvard's Jack Colton Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Harvard University freshman baseball player Jack Colton (Milton, Mass.) has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week in an announcement made Tuesday morning.

Colton batted .643 (9-14) with a .667 on-base-percentage in four games for the Crimson including a 7-11 mark in three games (two wins) at Brown this weekend. Colton factored in both victories with a 2-for-3 effort in a 6-3 win and a 3-for-4 effort with a walk in a 12-7 win. 

The Roxbury Latin graduate missed time at the beginning of the season due to a back injury but has come on strong. He brings a .429 batting average into this week's games with the Crimson slated to host Bryant today, Tuesday, before taking on Massachusetts on Wednesday in the first round of the annual Beanpot.
