LOWELL, Mass. – The Harvard baseball team will travel to Lowell, Mass., to play Boston College in the first round of the annual Beanpot, hosted this season by the Lowell Spinners at LeLacheur Park on Tuesday, April 10. The two teams will face off at 2:30 p.m.

Northeastern and Massachusetts will play at 6 p.m. The championship and consolation games will be played on Wednesday, April 18.

Harvard (5-22) defeated Boston College (13-19) last Wednesday at O'Donnell Field as four Crimson pitchers limited the Eagles to four hits. The victory ended a 15-game winning streak for the Eagles in the series.

Boston College has lost four-straight games after being swept at Virginia Tech last weekend while Harvard split an Ivy League twinbill with Columbia on Saturday before being swept by Penn on Sunday.

The tournament was last slated to be at LeLacheur Park in 2011, but was rained out. This will be the first time the tournament was played at the home of the Spinners since 2005.

Admission to the doubleheader is $5 for adults and $3 for students and children. Complimentary parking will be available in the dirt lot, directly across the street from LeLacheur Park.
