CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Joseph J. O'Donnell '67 Head Coach for Harvard Baseball, Bill Decker, has recently announced the appointment of a pair of junior captains for the 2014 season. Outfielder Jack Colton and catcher Ethan Ferreira will serve as leaders for the Crimson this upcoming season.
In two seasons with the Crimson, Colton has developed into a .332 hitter (71-for-217) with 24 runs scored, 21 RBI, six doubles, two home runs and eight stolen bags. The Milton, Mass., native has started 69 games during his tenure, including all 42 as a sophomore.
In his two years in Cambridge, Ferreira is batting .255 (38-for-149) in 53 appearances, with 11 runs and 17 RBI. Ferreira's year was cut short after 18 games in 2013 due to an injury, but the Rehoboth, Mass., native reeled off six RBI and had a four-game hit streak before his season ended.
Colton, Ferreira and the Crimson will begin the 2014 campaign in March.
