Colton Chapple Named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week
PRINCETON, N.J. – Harvard senior quarterback Colton Chapple (Alpharetta, Ga.) has been named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week following a remarkable performance on Friday against Holy Cross. Chapple's honor marks the third-straight week that a Harvard player has earned top marks with running back Treavor Scales earning the honor in the first two weeks of the season.
Despite a downpour at Harvard Stadium, Chapple guided the nationally-ranked Crimson to a dominating 52-3 win over Holy Cross. Chapple completed 13 of 18 passes for 260 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for a score – all in the first half as Harvard set a modern era record for points in a half with 49.
Chapple is currently third in the nation in passing efficiency.
Junior wide receiver Ricky Zorn (Dallas, Texas) earned a spot on the weekly Honor Roll after making his first career start and catching six passes for 99 yards and a touchdown.
Harvard is back in action this Saturday, Oct. 6, when the Crimson hosts Cornell in a 1 p.m. contest. The game can be viewed live on GoCrimson.com
