Boyd, Hempel Earn Weekly Ivy Honors

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After helping the Harvard football team knock off Penn, 38-30, Nov. 16, senior linebacker Joshua Boyd and junior quarterback Conner Hempel have been tabbed Ivy Co-Defensive and Co-Offensive Player of the Week, respectively.

Boyd, who hails from Hyde Park, Mass., led the Crimson with eight tackles and also made his first interception since 2010. On Penn's final play of the game, Boyd broke up a pass by Penn quarterback Ryan Becker to seal the victory.
Hempel completed his first 11 passes of the game, finishing 21-of-25 for 227 yards and two scores through the air. He also led all players with 65 rushing yards, while also adding a two-yard TD run in the second quarter.
Boyd, Hempel and the Crimson (8-1, 5-1 Ivy League) will close out the season by visiting Yale for the 130th playing of The Game Saturday, Nov. 23 at noon. The game will be shown live on the NBC Sports Network.
