Junior wide receiver Andrew Fischer racked up 237 all-purpose yards and a touchdown to help the Crimson defeat the visiting Lafayette Leopards, 24-14, at Harvard Stadium Saturday afternoon. Fischer’s great performance in the receiving and kick return game marked the first time since Oct. 22, 2011 that a Harvard player went over 200 all-purpose yards in a single game.

Led by junior running back Paul Stanton Jr., and classmate Andrew Fischer, Harvard (2-0) continued its undefeated start with a 22-14 victory over Brown (0-2) Saturday evening under the lights at Brown Stadium. Stanton accumulated 120 yards on the ground with one touchdown, while Fischer pulled in a career-high 12 receptions for 115 yards, including one touchdown catch.

Senior Andrew Casten rushed for a career-high 153 yards and three touchdowns to help Harvard (1-0) to a 41-18 victory over Holy Cross (2-2) in its season opener. The victory marks the 12th time in the last 14 season openers Harvard has won under head coach Tim Murphy, and moves Harvard to 116-23-2 all-time in the opening game of the season. The Crimson extends its series lead over Holy Cross to 42-24-2.
