Harvard plays five home contests in 2014, including the 131st edition of The Game (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The 2014 Harvard football schedule has been released, and the Crimson will play a balanced slate, featuring five home games and five road contests.
The Crimson opens its 141st season of football by hosting Holy Cross at Harvard Stadium Friday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. Harvard is 9-0 all-time under the lights at home and will look for its third straight win over the Crusaders.
Harvard will head to Providence, R.I., to take on Brown in the conference opener Sept. 27. Kickoff between the Crimson and Bears is slated for 6 p.m.
For the second consecutive year, Harvard will travel via plane for a road contest, as the Crimson will visit Georgetown Oct. 4 (time still to be determined). This will mark the first ever meeting on the gridiron between the Crimson and the Hoyas.
After hosting Cornell Oct. 11 at 1 p.m., Harvard will close out the non-conference portion of its schedule by welcoming Lafayette to Harvard Stadium Oct. 18 for a 1 p.m. start. The Crimson will then head back on the road with a trip to Princeton Oct. 25 (time tbd) and will visit Dartmouth Nov. 1 (1:30 p.m.).
Following a home contest against Columbia Nov. 8 at 1 p.m., Harvard plays its final road game of the fall at Penn Nov. 15 (time tbd). The Crimson will then prepare for the 131st edition of The Game, as Harvard will host Yale Nov. 22 at noon. Harvard has defeated the Bulldogs seven straight times, a program record.
All home games will be broadcast live or on-demand on the Ivy League Digital Network. A full television schedule will be announced at a later date.

Harvard, which is coming off a 9-1 overall season, won a share of the program's 15th Ivy League crown after going 6-1 in league play in 2013.
