Harvard football picks up another preseason award a year after its 2013 Ivy League title season.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard football rising senior tight end Tyler Hamblin has been named to the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Football Championship Subdivision Tight End Award Watch List, the organization announced.
Hamblin, who hails from Syracuse, N.Y., is one of 36 tight ends in the FCS vying for this award.
"Congratulations to Harvard's Tyler Hamblin on earning a spot on this year's watch list," said CFPA Executive Director Brad Smith. "Hamblin has the potential to become Harvard's fourth CFPA winner this season."
Hamblin is poised for a breakout senior season after averaging 14.2 yards-per-catch a season ago. Hamblin saw action in seven games in 2013, breaking out for two catches of 30-plus yards.
