Hodges Named to Senior Bowl Watch List
Zack Hodges is just 2.0 sacks shy of Harvard's all-time record (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior defensive end Zack Hodges of the Harvard football team has been named to the Watch List for the 2015 Reese's Senior Bowl, which will be held in Mobile, Alabama Jan. 24, 2015.
Hodges, who has garnered several major accolades this preseason, is also on the watch list for the Butkus Award, given annually to the top linebacker in college football, and appears on the watch list for the Buck Buchanan Award, presented each year to the most outstanding defensive player in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Hodges was selected as the winner of the Asa S. Bushnell Cup as the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year in 2013. Hodges made 40 tackles and had 6.5 sacks, ranking second and first, respectively, in the conference.
Hodges also forced four fumbles in 2013 and enters his senior season just 2.0 sacks shy of the all-time school record, held by Chris Smith '98.
