  • Football Rushes Past Brown, 45-28

    The Harvard football team scored four touchdowns on the ground, leading the Crimson to a 45-28 victory Saturday over visiting Brown. The win moves Harvard to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in Ivy play, while dropping the Bears to 1-1 and 0-1 in the Ancient Eight.

  • Football Welcomes Brown in Home and Ivy Opener Saturday

    The Harvard football team hosts the 699th game in Harvard Stadium history, as the Crimson plays hosts to Ivy League rival Brown. The game will be broadcast live on NESN and the Ivy League Network, and Alex Vispoli and Eric Gallanty will have the call. Harvard stands at 0-1 on the year after falling at Rhode Island, 17-10, last week, while Brown owns a 1-0 mark with a victory over Bryant in its season opener.
  • Football Drops Opener at URI, 17-10

    Led by Charlie Booker III, who rushed for a career-high 139 yards, the Harvard football team gained 398 yards of total offense, but the Crimson fell in its season opener at Rhode Island, 17-10, at Meade Stadium Saturday afternoon.
  • Bloomberg Radio to Broadcast All 10 Harvard Football Games in 2017

    Harvard Athletics has announced a continued agreement with Bloomberg Radio WRCA 1330 AM and 106.1 FM in Boston, as well as 92.9 WBOS-HD2 in Brookline to broadcast all 10 Harvard football games live this season.
  • Football Readies for 2017 Season Opener at Rhode Island Saturday

    The Harvard football team opens its 144th season Saturday afternoon, as the Crimson visits Rhode Island at Meade Stadium. Harvard, which is coming off a 7-3 season, was 5-2 in the Ivy League last year, while the Rams sit 0-2 this fall. Saturday’s game will be broadcast on the CAA Network. Steve McDonald and Terry Lynch will have the call. 
  • Nine Harvard Football Players Earn NFL Roster or Practice Squad Spots

    A total of nine Harvard football alumni have earned spots on NFL 53-man rosters or practices squads. The NFL season begins Thursday evening, with the New England Patriots hosting the Kansas City Chiefs. Harvard alumni represent more than half of the 17 former Ivy League football players to earn that distinction.

    For just the third time in the storied history of the Ivy League, there has been a tie among the top of the football preseason poll. The Crimson (five first-place votes), along with Princeton (six first-place votes), have tied for the top spot in the 2017 poll.

    Harvard Athletics is pleased to announce an expanded agreement with NESN (New England Sports Network) that will see more than 40 home events broadcast on the network in 2017-18.
  • Eight Harvard Football Games to Appear on National or Regional Television

    Harvard Athletics announced Monday that a record eight football games during the 2017 season will be broadcast live on national or regional television. A total of four games have been picked up as part of the Ivy League football television packages with NBC and Eleven Sports, as well as four additional games to be broadcast on NESN or NESNplus.

For me, I recognized that this was the first time that my decision in regards to where I wanted to go to college, would affect the path the rest of my life took. Lots of variables ride on the decision -- the school I chose would affect the coaches and mentors I’d be around, as well as friends, potential academic fields of study, and various other opportunities I’d be exposed to.

    Just a few weeks ago, I stood before a room of Harvard professors, advisors, and students, ready to present and defend my capstone engineering thesis—a basketball sleeve that analyzes muscular activation and biomechanics to help shooters develop their technique. Since these presentations play a significant role in our evaluation as we prepare to graduate, most students are nervous to have their work criticized by the faculty reviewers. But that wasn’t on my mind.
