Field Hockey Team Visits Local Children's Hospital
The Harvard field hockey team traveled to the Franciscan Hospital for Children in Brighton, Mass., on Monday April 27 and enjoyed what an action-packed afternoon.
As part of the Crimson's mission to give back to the community,
the field hockey team packed a comprehensive bag of arts and crafts
filled with face paint and bubbles to share with the children upon
arrival. The team was split into three groups to spend time with
some of the many programs and services offered by the hospital.
"Harvard field hockey hopes that our visit this spring will
establish a longer term relationship for future volunteer
opportunities at the Franciscan Hospital," said 2009
co-captain Kristin Bannon. "We particularly enjoyed doing arts
and crafts with the children, it reminded us of how lucky we are to
be student-athletes here at Harvard and the importance of giving
back to the community."
