Six Crimson Student-Athletes Earn Coaches’ Academic Squad Nod

Pilar Curtis has made the Coaches' Academic Squad each of her four years at Harvard (Gil Talbot).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association released the 2010 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad and six Crimson earned the right to be included: Pilar Curtis, Kim Goh, Jenn Hatfield, Rebecca Houser, Cynthia Tassopulos and Katelin Wahl.

The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2010-11 academic year. The Crimson was a recipient of the Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA National Academic Team Award, which recognizes those institutions that achieved a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the fall 2010 semester.

Curtis, a senior concentrating in psychology, earned her fourth straight selection to the team. Sophomores Goh, Tassopulos and Wahl each earned selection to the team for the second straight season. Freshmen Hatfield and Houser are making their first appearances on the squad.
