Hall of Famer Larry Brown discussed basketball philosophy at Sunday's Coaches Clinic at Lavietes Pavilion (Harvard Athletic Communications).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Head coach Tommy Amaker hosted the fifth annual Harvard Men's Basketball Coaches Clinic at Lavietes Pavilion Sunday afternoon.
More than 150 youth, high school and college coaches from in and around New England attended the coaches clinic. The event began with a Harvard men's basketball practice, as coaches in attendance were able to observe coach Amaker and the Crimson as the team conducted its drills and workout.
Following a break after lunch, special guest speaker and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Larry Brown spoke to those in attendance. Coach Brown, a former NBA championship head coach with the Detroit Pistons and a former NCAA championship head coach at Kansas, discussed basketball philosophy and conducted a number of drills with the members of the Harvard men's basketball team.
The coaches in attendance were also given the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with both coach Amaker and coach Brown.
