CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior co-captain Keith Wright, who was recently named to the John R. Wooden Award Preseason Top 50, has been selected to the Lou Henson Preseason All-America team.
The Lou Henson All-America team honors the top Mid-Major
players in Division I college basketball.
Wright, a forward from Suffolk, Va., has earned several
preseason accolades this year. Wright has been named the Preseason
Ivy League Player of the Year by Rivals.com and was selected to the
Rivals.com, CBS Sports, CollegeHoopsNet and College Sports Madness
Preseason All-Ivy teams.
Wright, the reigning Ivy League Player of the Year, was a Lou
Henson All-America and Associated Press All-America honorable
mention choice last season, and garnered unanimous All-Ivy League
first-team accolades in 2010-11.
Wright, who will be entering his second season as co-captain
of the Crimson, led Harvard in scoring (14.8 points per game) and
rebounds (8.3 rpg) a year ago. He finished second in the Ancient
Eight with 12 double-doubles and was second in the league in

Wright helped Harvard to the winningest season in program history, as the team posted a 23-7 overall record, to go along with a 12-2 mark in conference play last year. The Crimson earned a share of the program’s first Ivy title and received a berth in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) for the first time in school history.
