CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman forward Jonah Travis has been honored as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week after helping the Crimson improve to 8-0 with victories last week over Vermont and Seattle.
The native of Minneapolis, Minn., scored a career-high 19 points and grabbed a career-best 10 rebounds for a double-double in the 80-70 win over Seattle Sunday. Travis shot 6-of-8 from the field and hit 7-of-9 foul shots, while coming down with six offensive rebounds.
Travis also made 2-of-3 shots from the floor and finished with four points in the Crimson’s 55-48 win at Vermont Thursday.
Harvard, which sits at 8-0 for the first time since the 1984-85 season, visits No. 8 Connecticut Thursday, Dec. 8. The game will be shown live on ESPN2 at 7 p.m.
