Kyle Casey scored 20 points in Harvard's 76-52 win at Boston University Saturday (Scott Cunningham).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After leading the No. 24/25 Harvard men’s basketball team in scoring in both games last week, junior forward Kyle Casey has been honored as the Ivy League Co-Player of the Week. Casey will share the award with Penn guard Tyler Bernardini.
A native of Medway, Mass., Casey, who leads Harvard in scoring this season with 11.9 points per game, netted a season-high 20 points, making seven field goals and all five free-throw attempts in a 76-52 win at Boston University Saturday. Casey also grabbed nine rebounds, including eight in the defensive end, against the Terriers.
Casey hit two 3-pointers and finished with 12 points and five boards at No. 9 Connecticut Thursday evening.
Harvard, which is enjoying its best start (9-1) since the 1984-85 season, will host Florida Atlantic at Lavietes Pavilion Thursday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. The Crimson earned the first national ranking in program history last week and has won 19 straight games at home, the eighth longest streak in the country.
