NEW YORK -- Former Harvard standout and current New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin '10 has been added to the National Basketball Association's Rising Stars game, which will be held Feb. 24 in Orlando, Fla., as part of the NBA All-Star Weekend. Lin will also play a role in the weekend's Slam Dunk contest.

Lin, a three-time All-Ivy choice with the Crimson, was recently chosen for the cover of the Feb. 20 issue of Sports Illustrated. Lin, who scored a career-high 38 points against the Los Angeles Lakers Feb. 10, has earned three double-doubles in his last five games and dished out a career-best 13 assists in a victory against the Sacramento Kings Feb. 15.

Lin, who is in his second year in the NBA, is averaging 12.7 points and 5.1 assists per game in 16 contests this season. Lin scored 136 points in his first five starts, the most by an NBA player since the merger with the ABA in 1976-77.

In his six starts, Lin has averaged 24.3 points and 9.5 assists per game and has helped the Knicks win seven straight games.
