Wright Agrees to Contract with Uppsala Basket

UPPSALA, Sweden -- Former Harvard standout Keith Wright ’12 has signed a contract to play with Uppsala Basket, a professional team in the top Swedish basketball league Ligan.
Wright, a former two-time co-captain of the Crimson who hails
from Suffolk, Va., was a two-time All-Ivy League selection, earning
Ivy Player of the Year honors in 2011. A forward, Wright helped
Harvard win back-to-back Ivy League titles in 2011 and 2012 while
serving as team co-captain.
He averaged 10.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game as a senior,
as the Crimson earned a berth in the NCAA tournament for the first
time since 1946. Harvard finished 26-5 overall and 12-2 in the Ivy
League, while moving to as high as No. 21 in the national
polls.
Wright concluded his Harvard career first in program history
with 149 blocks, while ranking fifth with 743 career rebounds and
16th with 1,178 career points. Following his senior season,
Wright was selected to play in the NABC All-Star Game during the
Final Four in New Orleans, La., and he earned NABC All-District
honors for the second consecutive year.
