Men's Basketball Picks Up Six National TV Broadcasts
Six nationally televised games already slated for Harvard Men's Basketball (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Television coverage for select Harvard men's basketball games has been announced including three dates for the Crimson on the ESPN family of networks and three dates on CBS Sports Network.
Harvard is already slated to appear on ESPNU three times this winter when it travels to Colorado, Connecticut and Princeton. The Crimson's meeting with the Buffaloes on Nov. 24 was recently announced as part of the Pac-12 Conference's television deal while Harvard's clash with UConn on Jan. 8 is part of the American Conference's first TV deal. Harvard and Princeton will square off live at 8 p.m. on ESPN3 on Feb. 22 with ESPNU re-airing the broadcast at 11:30 p.m.
All three of Harvard's games at the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout will be featured on CBS Sports Network. In its second year carrying the tournament, CBS Sports Network air all four of the first-round games live, as well as Friday's late semifinal and Saturday's championship. Harvard played a total of 17 time on national or regional television a year ago and was featured 11 times in 2011-12. The Ivy League is expected to announce its conference-wide television package in early October.
