CAMBRDIGE, Mass. – Harvard men's basketball head coach Tommy Amaker will be profiled in a 30-minute CBS Sports Network special entitled "One2One," which first airs on the network Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 9 p.m.
Hosted by Alaa Abdelnaby, a former teammate of Amaker's at Duke and a five-year NBA veteran, the special will highlight the Crimson's rise to national prominence under Amaker's guidance. Currently receiving votes in both the AP and USA Today Coaches Poll, Harvard enters this week's Great Alaska Shootout with a 4-1 record.
Now in his seventh year in Cambridge, Amaker has reinvented the Crimson into an Ivy League power with a national presence. Under his guidance Harvard has experienced an unprecedented run of success, highlighted by back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances and three straight Ivy League championships. Harvard has also posted four consecutive 20-win seasons and is 112-67 (.639) overall with Amaker on the sidelines, 54-30 (.642) in Ivy League play.
