Curry Signs Deal with SPM Shoeters of Dutch Basketball League
Curry was a three-time All-Ivy performer and ranks fifth in career assists (Joel Broida).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Recent graduate Brandyn Curry '13-14 has signed a contract with SPM Shoeters Den Bosch of the Dutch Basketball League, the team announced Friday.
"Curry is exactly what we were looking [for] at the guard position," SPM Shoeters head coach Sam Jones stated in the team's press release. "[He is a] playmaker who can lead his team. Curry is tactically and defensively very strong."
Curry averaged 9.4 ppg and 2.8 apg in 2013-14 while helping Harvard to a fourth consecutive Ivy League championship. A native of Huntersville, N.C., Curry was a three-time All-Ivy honoree, was twice named Academic All-Ivy League, and graduated ranked fifth in program history with 489 assists.
Curry was also nominated for the Bob Cousy Award twice, which is given annually to nation's top point guard.
