Raced with the freshman eight, contributing to an undefeated dual season and Sprints championship … Made it to the semifinals for the Temple Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta, setting an event record in the quarterfinals … Earned a bronze medal at the IRA National Championships … Helped defeat the Yale freshmen at the 146^th Harvard-Yale Regatta May 28 … Helped take first place and contributed to Rowe Cup win at the EARC Sprints … Contributed to victories over Northeastern, Navy, Penn, Princeton, MIT and Cornell.

Before Harvard
Rowed each year and played rugby for two at Christ’s College … Was honored as best technical rower in 2006 and rower of the year in 2007 … Was a member of the New Zealand national junior team (men’s eight) in 2006 and 2007 … Won the World Junior Championships in the eight in 2006 … Earned silver medals at the under-18 eight and four national championship and the World Junior Championships in 2007 … Set the course record in the eight at the Avon River Christchurch regatta in 2008 … Won national titles in the men’s under-21 pair, coxless four and eight in 2009.
