Heavyweight, Lightweight Rowers Battle Elements at Head of the Charles
Harvard heavyweight and lightweight rowers take part in the 45th Head of the Charles on the Charles River. Highlights from the event include two top eight finishes by the heavyweights in the championship four and a fourth-place finish by the lightweight freshman eight in the club event.

All four rowing programs at Harvard will be involved in the two-day event will attract more than 8,500 rowers and some 300,000 spectators. Current and former Harvard and Radcliffe rowers are slated to compete in 17 different events.

Several Harvard and Radcliffe rowers will race in the Rowing World Cup in Lucerne, Switzerland July 10-12. Leading the Crimson contingent are 2009 graduates Mortiz Hafner, Esther Lofgren and Henrik Rummel and 2010 lightweight captain Martin Eiermann.
