Harvard Top Lightweight Freshmen at Green Monster Regatta

HANOVER, N.H. -The Harvard men’s lightweight crew had two boats finish in the top 10 at the Green Monster Regatta, held on the Connecticut River, Nov 7. The Crimson finished third overall and was the top finishing lightweight crew.

The annual freshman-only race, hosted by Dartmouth, is open to both lightweight and heavyweight crews and includes multiple entries from each school. The event winner is chosen by adding the top two times from each school and determining the fastest combined time.

Harvard’s A entry finished second overall at 16:07 while the B boat was 10th at 16:24. Trinity heavyweights won the event by posting times of 15:53 and 16:13 with their B and A teams, respectively. Northeastern heavyweights took second in the event with times of 16:11 and 16:17.

The Crimson had five boats total compete in the event.
