ITHACA, N.Y. – With close races across the board, Harvard lightweight crew won the second varsity, freshman eight and second freshman races over Cornell and Penn at the Cayuga Inlet Saturday afternoon.

Harvard took the second varsity race by open water with a winning time of 6:03.7. Cornell clocked a time of 6:07.2 in the two-boat race.
Cornell earned the better of Harvard in the two-boat third varsity event. The Big Red (6:10.2) finished just over three seconds ahead of the Crimson (6:13.4).
The freshman eight clocked a time of 5:59.1 to edge Cornell (6:01.5) by nearly a boat length. Penn was not far behind with a time of 6:03.0.
The second freshman boat, fighting through snow pellets in the final races, bested Cornell (6:42.5) and Penn (7:06.1) with a time of 6:40.2. The Crimson edged the Big Red by nearly a boat length, while downing the Quakers by open water.
