No. 2 Harvard Men's Fencing Gathers Four Medals at NCAA Regional

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Highlighted by junior co-captain Valentin Staller's silver in the men's saber, the second-ranked Harvard men's fencing team brought home a total of four medals and seven top-10 finishes at the NCAA Northeast Region Championship Sunday at Vassar College.

Staller finished second in the saber competition behind St. John's University's Daryl Homer. The Crimson took up the second through fourth spots with Thomas Kolasa earning bronze and freshman Eric Arzoian following right behind in fourth place.

Freshman Michael Raynis earned bronze for the Crimson in epee, with teammate James Hawrot following in fourth place and Ben White giving Harvard three top six epee finishers with a sixth-place showing.

Sophomore Tommasso di Robilant won bronze in the men's foil event, while freshman Lucas Lin finished 13th and senior co-captain Hao Meng came in 18th.

Selections for the NCAA Championship March 24-27 in Columbus, Ohio, will be finalized Tuesday.
