Fencing Finishes Seventh at NCAA Championships
After four days of fencing action at the 2015 NCAA Tournament, Harvard finished in seventh place with six total All-Americans. The Crimson earned the most points in the two sabre divisions out of any team competing at the tournament.

Harvard Sends 10 Fencers to NCAA Championships
The Harvard fencing program’s quest for its second national title begins Thursday, March 19 as 10 Crimson fencers head to Columbus, Ohio for the 2015 NCAA National Championships. Over the course of four days Harvard will compete at Ohio State’s French Field House for individual and team crowns as well as All-American honors. The No. 3. men will compete on the strip March 19-20 to open the competition with the No. 4 women closing the event March 21-22

Ten Crimson Fencers Qualify for NCAA Championships
A successful regular season by the men’s and women’s fencing teams has culminated in 10 Harvard fencers qualifying for the 2015 NCAA Championships, as announced by the organization. Ohio State will serve as the host for the event.

O’Brien, Simko Claim Gold Medals at the NCAA Northeast Regional
With the chance to earn a berth to the NCAA Championships on the line, junior co-captain Duncan O’Brien and classmate Nicolas Simko earned gold medals for No. 3 men’s fencing with victories in the sabre and epee divisions, respectively.

Fresh off of its third-straight Ivy League Championship, the Harvard men’s fencing team ventures to New York City for the NCAA Northeast Regional, hosted by NYU. An individual event, the Crimson took home three medals in 2014.

Eric Zhao, of the Harvard men’s fencing team, has been named ECAC Rookie Fencer of the Week for February 9-15. The award is the first of Zhao’s career.

Peter Brand Named Ivy League Coach of the Year
Peter Brand, head coach of the Harvard fencing teams, has been named the 2015 Ivy League Coach of the Year for his efforts in guiding the men’s team. Brand earns the honor in the award’s first year.

No. 5 Men’s Fencing Wins Seventh-Straight Beanpot
The Harvard men’s fencing team won its seventh-straight Beanpot championship, going 3-0 with victories over MIT (19-8), Boston College (19-8) and Brandeis (18-9). Harvard moved to 14-3 on the season with the wins.

Dershwitz, Chang, Eldeib Named to All-Ivy First Team
Eli Dershwitz, Jerry Chang, and Alexander Eldeib, of the No. 5 Harvard men’s fencing team, were named to the All-Ivy League first team, announced by the league office. Co-captain Duncan O’Brien was recognized on the second team.

No. 5 Men’s Fencing Wins Share of Third-Straight Ivy League Championship
For the ninth time in program history, and third in as many years, the Harvard men’s fencing team earned an Ivy League Championship. The team shares the honor with Columbia for the second-straight year.

No. 5 Men’s Fencing Goes 3-1 at Ivy League Round Robins On Day One
Halfway through the 2015 Ivy League Fencing Round Robins, Harvard is the only team with three wins, posting a 3-1 record to lead after the first day. The Crimson posted wins over Yale (21-6), Brown (23-4), and No. 2 Columbia (17-10), but fell to No. 7 Penn (18-9) in the second matchup of the event.

In its second tournament of the season, Harvard men’s fencing went 4-1, winning a tie-breaker over Penn State and Columbia, to win the St. John’s Invitational. Harvard moves to 7-2 on the season.

Kaneshige Fences To Victory at the Division I North American Cup
Brian Kaneshige of the Harvard men’s fencing team won his first Division I North American Cup title, announced by USA Fencing. The senior captain dominated pool play before knocking off six consecutive opponents to earn the championship.

Men’s Fencing Places Three on Podium at North American Cup
Competing at the North American Cup, freshman Eli Dershwitz finished in second place among saber fencers, while juniors Jerry Chang and Michael Woo shared the bronze in the foil division. Senior Brian Kaneshige also finished ninth using the foil.
