CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard fencing teams will look to continue to soar among the nation's elite during the 2014-15 campaign, as the Crimson announced its schedule for upcoming season.
Under the leadership and tutelage of head coach Peter Brand, who enters his 16th season in Cambridge, Harvard opens the season at the Penn State Open Nov. 22-23, before the women host Tufts in the lone home match of the year Dec. 5.
After traveling to Sacred Heart to take on the Pioneers, Temple, NYU, Penn State and Vassar Dec. 7, The Crimson will face St. John's, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Columbia and the Nittany Lions again in Queens, N.Y., Jan. 24.
The Harvard men will look to win its third straight Ivy League crown and its ninth in program history, while the women will vie for their fourth Ancient Eight title in New York Feb. 7-8.
Following the Beanpot, hosted by Brandeis, Feb. 12, the Crimson will participate in the NCAA Regionals in New York March 8.
Harvard will look to send its top fencers to the NCAA Championships, hosted by Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio March 18-23.
