Harvard vs. Bentley Game Highlights

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –
Highly touted freshman Jimmy Vesey of the Harvard men's ice hockey team has been named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday. It is the third week of ECAC weekly awards this season, while Harvard played its first game of the 2012-13 schedule Saturday.

Vesey made a splash for the No. 13/13 Crimson in his collegiate debut against Bentley Saturday, posting a team-high tying three points on two goals and an assist. The North Reading, Mass., native logged his first collegiate point on Harvard's first goal of the season, as he fed senior Luke Greiner at 4:09 of the first period. His first goal as a college player came in the second period against the Falcons, as the freshman weaved through defenders and deposited the puck on Harvard's second power play of the evening. Vesey stuffed home a loose puck in the third period for his second goal of the night, to lead the Crimson to a 5-0 victory.

The Crimson begins its ECAC Hockey and Ivy League slates this weekend when it hosts Brown Friday and Yale Saturday at Bright Hockey Center.
