Men's Lacrosse Recruiting Class Ranked Third in the Nation

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – John Tillman, the
Frisbie Family Head Coach for Harvard Men’s Lacrosse, will
welcome the country’s third best incoming freshman class this
year, according to Inside Lacrosse magazine, which
released its annual list of top recruits this week.
Tillman’s first official recruiting class, which ranks first
in the Ivy League according to the publication, includes six
players listed in Inside Lacrosse’s Power 100 newcomers from
around the country.
Jack Doyle, a midfielder, heads the group of Crimson as the No. 2
rated newcomer, followed by midfielder Alex White at No. 32.
Defenseman Jason Gonos checks in as the No. 52 recruit, while
midfielder Pete Berg is rated No. 57, midfielder Peter Schwartz
appears at No. 63 and defenseman Brad Cappelini stands at No.
77.
In just his second season on the Harvard sideline in 2009, Tillman
guided Harvard to an 8-5 overall record and 3-3 mark in the Ivy
League. The Crimson reached as high as No. 11 in the national
rankings and the team’s eight victories marked the most for
the program since the 2002 season.
