Four Men's Lacrosse Players Earn Selections to NEILA Preseason Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior Dean Gibbons, juniors Daniel DiMaria and Terry White and freshman John Rose have been named to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Assocation (NEILA) Preseason Team, it was announced Wednesday. Gibbons, DiMaria and White were tabbed to the preseason squad, while Rose was honored as the Preseason Rookie of the Year.
Gibbons, a co-captain, was also honored on the Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-America honorable mention team. An attackman from Garden City, N.Y., Gibbons led the Crimson and was second in the Ivy League with 41 points. He scored 27 goals, handed out 14 assists and tallied six-man up goals. A two-time All-Ivy League choice, Gibbons earned United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-America honorable mention and NEILA All-New England second-team status last season.
White, a midfielder who hails from Summit, N.J., was an All-Ivy League and NEILA All-New England pick last season after netting 13 goals and amassing 19 points in his sophomore season.
Rose, a long-stick midfielder from Locust Valley, N.Y., enters his freshman season with the Crimson after attending Deerfield Academy (Mass.).
