Gibbons Earns USILA All-America Accolades

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –Seniors co-captain Dean Gibbons of the Harvard men’s lacrosse team has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-American team, garnering honorable mention.

Gibbons, who also earned USILA All-America honorable mention as a junior in 2010, was a unanimous selection to the All-Ivy League first team was tabbed to the Ivy all-tournament squad. An attackman from Garden City, N.J., he led the Crimson with 59 points, scoring 30 goals and dishing out 29 assists during his senior season. His 59 points this spring ranks ninth in single-season scoring in program history. In Harvard’s 21-10 win over Bellarmine March 11, he recorded a career-high nine points, scoring three times and handing out six assists.

He stood 10th in the country with 3.69 points per contest this year and amassed 155 points during his career in Cambridge, which places him 10th in Harvard history. He also ranks 11th with 63 assists.
