Season Recap: Men's Soccer Bookends Fall with Victories Over Ranked Opponents
The Harvard men's soccer team completed its first season under Carl Junot, the Virginia B. and James O. Welch '52 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Soccer (Harvard Athletic Communications).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Harvard men's soccer
team defeated two ranked opponents during the 2010 campaign,
downing then-No. 13 Stanford, 2-1, in the first night game held at
the Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium Sept. 4, and then topping
then-No. 18 Penn, 2-1, in double overtime on the road Nov. 13.
In the first season under the direction of Carl Junot, the Virginia
B. and James O. Welch '52 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Soccer, the
Crimson earned four nods to the All-Ivy League team. Senior
co-captain and defender Robert Millock, sophomore forward Brian
Rogers and sophomore midfielder Scott Prozeller garnered spots on
the All-Ancient Eight second team, while junior goalkeeper Austin
Harms was tabbed All-Ivy honorable mention.
The Crimson completed its season 5-7-5 overall and 2-3-2 in the
Ancient Eight.
