Three Men's Soccer Standouts Named to NSCAA All-Region Teams
Three members of the Harvard men’s soccer team have earned NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Region honors, the NSCAA announced on Dec. 10. Sophomore Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu was tabbed to the All-East Region Second Team, while junior co-captain Mark Ashby and classmate Tim Schmoll were named to the region’s Third Team.

Ashby, Brown Pave Way for Five Men's Soccer All-Ivy Nods
After enjoying its most successful season in five years, the Harvard men’s soccer team had five student-athletes named to All-Ivy teams, including the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year Mark Ashby and the Ivy League Rookie of the Year Sam Brown.

Sady's Last-Minute Goal Lifts Men's Soccer Over Penn, 1-0
It took nearly 90 minutes, but the Harvard men’s soccer team upended Penn at Rhodes Field on Saturday, 1-0, thanks to a Christian Sady marker in traffic with just 24 seconds left. The Crimson improves to 11-4-2 (4-1-2 Ivy), its best regular-season finish since 2009, while the Quakers fall to 6-9-2 (2-3-2 Ivy).

Heading into the final weekend of the regular season, the Harvard men’s soccer team hopes to capitalize on its outside shot at the Ivy League title. The Crimson (10-4-2, 3-1-2 Ivy) treks to Philadelphia to take on the Penn Quakers (6-8-2, 2-2-2 Ivy), needing a win and outside help for the crown.

Men's Soccer, Dartmouth End in 1-1 Draw
The Harvard men’s soccer team and Dartmouth battled it out at Burnham Field on Saturday night, but the two clubs ended in a 1-1 draw, keeping things close in the Ivy League standings. The Crimson (9-4-2, 2-1-2 Ivy) is now just two points behind Big Green (9-4-2, 3-1-1 Ivy) and Princeton (8-3-3, 3-1-1 Ivy) with two games remaining.

Men's Soccer Heads to Hanover to Duel with Dartmouth
The Harvard men’s soccer team looks to regain control atop the Ivy League standings this weekend as the Crimson treks north to Hanover, New Hampshire, to take on league front-runner Dartmouth on Saturday. Both Harvard and Dartmouth own identical 9-4-1 overall records, but the Big Green has gone 3-1-0 against Ancient Eight opponents, just ahead of the Crimson at 2-1-1.

Fleischman's Two Tallies Lift Men's Soccer to 2-0 Victory over Stony Brook
Junior Philip Fleischman’s two goals was all the scoring that was needed on Tuesday night, as the Harvard men’s soccer team came away with a 2-0 victory over Stony Brook at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium. The game represented Harvard’s (9-4-1, 2-1-1) final nonconference bout of the regular season and its ninth victory at home in 2014.

Men's Soccer's Comeback Bid Falls Short at Princeton, 3-2
Down 3-0 to Princeton on Saturday night, the Harvard men’s soccer team fought its way back, but the comeback bid was not enough as the Tigers (7-3-3, 2-1-1 Ivy) upended the Crimson (8-4-1, 2-1-1 Ivy), 3-2. The loss marks the first for Harvard since Sept. 13, ending a nine-game unbeaten streak.

Behind a goal from Tim Schmoll and four crucial saves from Evan Mendez in goal, the Harvard men’s soccer team remained unbeaten in its last nine contests, coming away with a 1-1 draw with Brown on Saturday at Stevenson Field. The Crimson improves to 8-3-1 with a 2-0-1 record in Ivy League play.

The Harvard men’s soccer team pushed its win streak to seven games on Saturday evening with a grinding 1-0 win over Cornell at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium. The seven consecutive victories is the most by a Harvard team since the 2006 campaign. Senior Hiroki Kobayashi tallied the game’s lone goal as the Crimson improve to 7-3, 2-0 in Ivy League play.

Hiroki Kobayashi lofted in a header from deep in the box to give the Crimson its fifth consecutive victory, improving to 5-3 on the season. The Minutemen fall to 1-6 this year after the loss.

Riding a four-game win streak after a perfect homestand over the last two weeks, the Harvard men’s soccer team heads to Amherst to take on Massachusetts on Friday. The Crimson (4-3) and Minutemen (1-5) will do battle at 3 p.m. at Rudd Field.

Men's Soccer Comes From Behind to Earn 3-2 Victory Over Northeastern
Junior Andrew Chang's left-footed drive from just outside 18 yards with 43 seconds left capped off a wild come-from-behind victory for the Harvard men’s soccer team Tuesday night at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium. After finding itself in a 2-0 hole with less than 17 minutes left in the game, the Crimson (4-3) reeled off three scores in a span of 16 minutes to overcome the Northeastern Huskies (2-6) for its fourth consecutive victory.

The Harvard men’s soccer team continued its winning ways on Sunday afternoon as the Crimson used three second-half goals to outmatch Manhattan, 3-0, at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium. Harvard is now winners of its last three contests to improve to 3-3 on the year, remaining a perfect 3-0 in the comforts of home.

Four different Crimson found the back of the net on Friday afternoon as the Harvard men’s soccer team found its rhythm and with it a 4-1 victory over Hartford at Ohiri Field. The Crimson, which enjoyed its highest point total since the 2009 season opener, moves to 2-3 on the year with its second consecutive win at home. The Hawks drop to 3-2-1 after their second defeat in a row.

Fresh off a thrilling overtime victory over Boston College, the Harvard men’s soccer team continues its four-game homestand this weekend. The Crimson (1-3) is set to host Hartford (3-1-1) on Friday and Manhattan (1-2) on Sunday.

With Tim Schmoll’s header in the 95th minute, the Harvard men’s soccer team secured its first win of 2014 and defeated Boston College for the first time in five years. Schmoll placed himself perfectly on a Christian Sady corner in overtime to vault the Crimson (1-3-0) over the Eagles (3-2-1), 2-1, Tuesday night at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium.

Continuing its season-opening road swing, the Harvard men’s soccer team is gearing up for another nonconference battle as it’s set to take on St. John’s in Queens. After a pair of battles in Washington, D.C., the Crimson (0-2-0) and the Red Storm (0-3-2) will take to Belson Field at 7:30 p.m.

Up against one of the stronger teams in the nation, the Harvard men’s soccer team put together a solid effort against No. 9 Georgetown at Shaw Field, but the Crimson ultimately fell to the Hoyas, 2-0. The Crimson starts the year 0-1-0, while GU picks up its first win of the young season and moves to 1-0-2.

Former Men's Soccer Standout Andre Akpan '09 Acquired by Revolution
Andre Akpan ’09 will make his return to Boston this year as the former Harvard men’s soccer star has been acquired by the New England Revolution via trade this week. Through a trade with the New York Red Bulls, the Revolution brought in Akpan and allocation money for forward Saer Sene and an international roster spot.

Men’s Soccer Welcomes Nationally-Ranked Recruiting Class For 2014 Season
After a successful 2013 campaign that saw the Crimson finish second in the Ivy League standings, the Harvard men’s soccer team announced it will add eight freshman to the roster for the 2014 season. The incoming class has been ranked No. 34 in the country by College Soccer News, and is the only Ivy League group to appear on the rankings list.
