CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men’s squash team has announced its schedule for the 2010-11 season, as the team will play five home matches in the regular season and will play host to the College Squash Association Team Championships in February. The Crimson completed the 2009-10 campaign with a fifth-place finish at the CSA Team Championships and an overall record of 7-5.
Harvard will open the upcoming season at home against Brown
Nov. 19. Two more home matches follow as Williams (Nov. 21) and
Dartmouth (Dec. 1) will travel to the Barnaby Courts to take on the
Crimson. The team will also head to Cornell Dec. 4, followed up
with a trip to Rochester Dec. 5.
After a layoff from competition, the Crimson will resume play
as it will host Trinity Jan. 26. Three conference matches will end
the regular season as Harvard will travel to Penn (Feb. 5) and
Princeton (Feb. 6) before hosting Yale (Feb. 12). Harvard will host
the CSA Team Championships on Feb. 25-27 while the CSA Individual
Championships will take place in Hanover, N.H., Mar. 4-6.
Harvard will be seeking the program’s 32nd national team
championship this season. The team will be led by senior
captain J. Reed Endresen in 2010. Endresen, along with fellow
senior Richard Hill, return to the team after competing in the
“A” Division of the Individual Championships last
season. A pair of sophomores that also garnered individual
championship experience last season, Zeke Scherl and Jason Michas,
will return to the courts this winter.
