Harvard Squash Set for 2011 CSA Individual National Championships

HANOVER, N.H. – The Harvard men’s and women’s squash teams will head to Hanover, N.H. to compete at the 2011 CSA National Individual Championships. Dartmouth will serve as the host of the three-day event that begins Fri., March 4.
On the women’s side, top-ranked Laura Gemmell will be looking to defend her 2010 title. Gemmell was 5-0 at last year’s championship to conclude a 16-0 season and earn the Ramsay Cup in the A division. Nirasha Guruge, the 11th-ranked player in the country, will be seeking to improve on her 9-4 record this season at the event.
For the men, Gary Power, Harvard’s No.1 who played to a 10-5 record and is currently ranked 10th nationally, will represent Harvard in A division, competing for the Pool Cup. Harvard’s Colin West ’10 captured the title last year.
Play will kick off Friday morning at 9 a.m. at Dartmouth. The College Squash Association website will have updates throughout the weekend.
