CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Harvard men's squash team has released its schedule for the upcoming season. The squad will host four home matches and play six contests on the road in preparation for the College Squash Association (CSA) Team and Individual championships. The Crimson finished last season's CSA Team Championship with a win in the consolation finals to secure fifth place.
Harvard will open with an Ivy League scrimmage Nov.12-13 at Yale before beginning the regular season with a pair of road matches. The Crimson will travel to Williams Nov. 18 and Dartmouth Nov. 30.
After halting competition throughout the month of December, the team will open the 2012 calendar year with a pair of Ivy League home matches against Penn (Jan. 14) and Princeton (Jan. 15). Two non-conference contests follow with Harvard traveling to Trinity Jan. 21 and Rochester visiting the Murr Center Jan. 28.
February brings four Ivy League matchups, including three away from home. The Crimson will make trips to Columbia (Feb. 4), Cornell (Feb. 5) and Yale (Feb. 12) during the month with their lone home match coming against Brown Feb. 10.
The CSA Team Championships will be Feb. 17-19 in Princeton, N.J. and the CSA Individual Championship is scheduled for March 2-4 in Amherst, Mass.
The Crimson returns 13 players from last year's team that finished 9-6 overall and 3-3 in Ivy play. Under the direction of Mike Way, the Gregory Lee '87 and Russell Ball '88 Endowed Coach for Squash at Harvard, the team will will look tobuild on last year's fifth-place finish.
