No. 5 Men’s Squash Sweeps Eighth Straight Opponent

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's squash team, ranked No. 5 in the latest College Squash Association poll, swept by No. 9 Penn, 9-0, at the Murr Center Saturday afternoon.

Harvard (10-0, 2-0 Ivy League) extended its school-record for consecutive sweeps to eight with the shutout win. Ali Farag led the way in the No. 1 position, winning his first career collegiate match, as all ten Harvard athletes won by 3-0 scores.

Gary Power (4-1) , playing in the No. 3 position, had the most dominant victory. Power allowed Daniel Judd of Penn to get on the board seven times during the clean sheet.

Alexander Ma (10-0) became the first Crimson player to reach double-digit wins this season with a victory over Jack Maine in the No. 9 spot (11-1, 11-4, 11-4).

Harvard returns to action tomorrow against No. 5 Princeton at the Murr Center. Play is set to begin at 2 p.m.
