No. 3 Men's Squash Takes Home Opener 9-0 Over No. 8 Dartmouth

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In its home opener, the No. 3 Harvard men's squash team blanked No. 8 Dartmouth, 9-0, at the Murr Center Wednesday night.

The Crimson swept eight of the nine matches on Wednesday evening and improved to 2-0 for the 35th straight year. Dartmouth falls to 0-1, 0-1 on the young season.

Defending national champion Ali Farag remained undefeated in his collegiate squash career, knocking off Chris Hanson, 11-8, 11-7, 11-5, at the No. 1 spot. Farag is now 17-0 as a member of the Crimson after posting a 16-0 mark in 2011-12.

Junior Brandon McLaughlin, who was a second team All-American last season, turned in the most dominating performance for Harvard, allowing just 11 points in three games at the No. 2 position to top Robbie Maycock, 11-4, 11-3, 11-4.

At No. 8, senior co-captain Jason Michas prevailed over James Fisch, 11-9, 11-4, 5-11, 11-9 in the only match to go longer than three games.
