No. 3 Men's Squash Comes Up Just Short Against No. 1 Princeton, 5-4

Jason Michas improved to 6-0 on the year with his win Sunday (Gil Talbot).

PRINCETON, N.J. - The No. 3 Harvard men's squash team gave top-ranked Princeton all it could handle, but it wasn't enough as the Tigers held off the Crimson, 5-4, Sunday afternoon at the Jadwin Squash Courts.

The Crimson (8-1, 2-1) dominated the bottom half of the ladder, sweeping positions 6-8, and won the top spot; however, the Tigers (6-0, 2-0) controlled the top half of the ladder, taking spots 2-5 and nine to get the win.

Princeton took an early lead, winning four of the afternoon's first six matches. No. 6 Tom Mullaney topped Taylor Tutrone, 11-9, 11-4, 11-6, and No. 8 Jason Michas bested David Hoffman, 11-9, 11-6, 13-11, to account for both of Harvard's wins.

The Crimson drew within 4-3 after Zeke Scherl knocked off Michael LeBlanc, 5-11, 11-9, 11-7, 11-0, but Dylan Ward edged Tyler Olson, 11-5, 11-6, 3-11, 11-2, to give the Tigers their second straight 5-4 win over the Crimson.

Junior Ali Farag knocked off Todd Harrity, 5-11, 11-2, 11-7, 11-6, to make the final margin one and remain undefeated in his collegiate career.
